Postby HILTS3188 » Sun Feb 04, 2007 11:15 am

HAVE NOTICED SOMETHING AND WAS WONDERIND HAS ANYONE ELSE AS WELL.........

IN STEVES FILMS HE APPEARS TO USE 3 ACTORS AND THEN NO MORE

I AM THINKING HERE OF JACK WESTON(HONEYMOON,CINNCINNATTI.AND BULLITT)

COBURN
(GREAT ESCAPE,NEVER SO FEW, MAG 7)

VAUGHN
(MAG 7,BULLITT,INFERNO)

BRONSON
(MAG 7, GREAT ESCAPE,NEVER SO FEW)

STURGES
(NEVER SO FEW, GREAT ESCAPE, MAG 7)

GORDON
(BULLITT, PAPILLON,INFERNO)

WAGNER
(INFERNO, LOVE WITH PROPER STRANGER(IF YOU COUNT NATALIE :) ), AND THE WAR LOVER)

AND YET WITH ACTRESSES HE NEVER PLAYED ALONGSIDE THE SAME ONE TWICE

I WAS WONDERING DOES ANYONE KNOW THE REASON FOR THIS,WAS IT BECAUSE STEVE LIKED THEM OR WAS IT CONTRACTUAL?

BUT WHY 3????????????????

Hey Tony! Good observation! But Steve appeared 2 times in a movie with some actresses-Tuesday Weld and Faye Dunaway. Carmela

How about Ben Johnson?
Junior Bonner, The Getaway, The Hunter

Richard Farnsworth?
Papillon, Tom Horn, Wanted: Dead or Alive (does that count?) ;)

I bet Steve liked working with these guys because they were both tough guys in their own respect-Johnson a cowboy and Farnsworth a stuntman.

I've got a 4!

Val Avery : the Magnificent Seven, Love with the Proper Stranger, Nevada Smith, Papillon. However, he was uncredited in LWTPS so maybe only counts as three?

Si Oakland was in Sand Pebbles and Bullett with Steve. Si taught me to play 7 card stud (badly :-)). I lost a days pay to him on the set, he gave it back to me and said, "trust everyone but always cut the cards kid." A wonderful human being.
