Jeremy Renner to play Steve Mcqueen in Film Bio
Jeremy Renner in The Hurt Locker	According to 'The Hollywood Reporter', The Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner is to play Steve McQueen in the upcoming film biopic. Renner, a two-time Academy Award nominee, is hot property in Hollywood at the moment, having just completed work on the latest Mission Impossible installment, and being sought to replace Matt Damon in the next Bourne film. Based on the two books by Marshall Terrill: Portrait of an American Rebel and The Life and Legend of a Hollywood Icon, the script will be written by James Gray, who wrote and directed the critically successful We Own the Night.
Of some concern however is the current choice of director, Ivan Zacharias. Zacharias, a virtual unknown, described by 'The Hollywood Reporter' as a"video director," has only three short foreign language features to his credit. Read the full story here
