NIKE - Irreverence Justified
	What we have got here is truly original, rare, unique and some might even say mythical, and it could be yours! This book is the "Holy Grail" of sneaker books and for those who have tried in vain to obtain a copy the last eight years or so. I am talking of course about NIKE's Irreverence justified. A book sought after, debated and so elusive, that few people actually own a copy. The reason for this is quite simple. For starters only 2000 were ever made, and they were given out with the New Millenium to highly valued clients and various cultural partners of NIKE. Here now, on this site, are the facts of Irreverence justified # 1274... The book was produced in the year 2000 and was designed by Mr. Robert Nakata. Inside the book are hundreds of images of NIKE sneakers and as you can see the covers are made out of gold. This gold is in fact the leftover material from the production of Michael Johnson's 1996 Olympic shoes, in which he ran for gold on the 200m and the 400m. The book was printed in Monnickendam, the Netherlands, and was bound with PU Sparkle Leather in the Hague, also in the Netherlands.
Now, some of the pages at the end were left blank intentionally, as they symbolise the NIKE mantra, "There is no finish line". The book comes in a cubix box for protection and is in good condition. All text in the book was composed in the Corporate S. Typeface and photography was provided by Photogroup, Nike Digital Product Imaging, Hans Pieterse, and Pete Rose. The advertising agency used for this assignment was Wieden + Kennedy in Amsterdam, and Nike European Headquarters is the company that decided on a gift like this. Coincidentally, NIKE EHQ is located in Hilversum, about 10 minutes from where I live. The book is hand-numbered 1274 and Phil Knight, CEO of Nike, has of course number 1.
