A 20 gauge Parker Brothers VHE grade double barrel boxlock shotgun

Serial no. 240163, 20 gauge. 28 inch barrels with concave matte rib inscribed Parker Bros. Makers. Meriden, CT. U.S.A. Vulcan Steel.
Two ivory beads. Casehardened No. O action with rocker-engraved border. Double triggers. Ejectors. Automatic safety.
Checkered pistolgrip stock of figured walnut. Belly with vacant, shield-shaped German silver escutcheon.
Checkered splinter fore-end. Black rubber WhiteLine buttpad.

Condition: Very good. Barrels retain 85 percent plus reblued finish showing thinning at breech, some light scratches and some areas of light spotting. Bright clean bores, right side with small dent and slight rings. Action with mottled grey metal showing some vivid color at rear of action and under lever. Triggerguard retains 30-40 percent blue finish. Stock with sound wood showing scattered dents, scratches and losses. Fore-end with some chipping to edges and with bruises/wear to checkering.
