Steve McQueen: Portrait of an American Rebel
| Portrait of an American Rebel by Marshall Terrill is considered by many to be the best McQueen biography. Terrill is a genuine fan and has since writing this book also co-penned The King, McQueen and the Love Machine with Barbara Leigh. Terrill has personally interviewed many of McQueen's friends and family for this book. | ||||
| He does revisit a lot of the ground already covered by Penina Spiegel in The Untold Story of a Bad Boy in Hollywood, but he has
plenty of new information as well. NOTE A new and revised edition was released November 07 2005 with a new introduction by the author and a revised and updated final chapter which features further information on McQueen's battle with cancer and also on the experiences of his family since the books original publication.
