A reiver is a cheat, a liar, a brawler and womaniser.

The classic 1969 Steve McQueen movie, based on the William Faulkner novel about a young boys journeys with a reiver (played by McQueen) will be available from the UK on region 2DVD from the 28 Feb 2005, and Australia region 4 DVD from the 10 March 2005. It is as yet unavailable on US region 1 format.

Update-April 3rd
There has been a delay in release. I recieved this email from an etailer regarding The Reivers DVD release:
"I have just checked with the distributor and this title has been held back and we have no date as yet to when this will be available."

Officially available now in the US and UK from June 7th 2005.
